Local March Break Adventures

//Local March Break Adventures

March break is quickly approaching and its time to make some fun family plans! Even if you are not jetting to a far-off tropical location for your break, we think you deserve to have an awesome stay-cation right here in Ontario. Here are a few of our local favourites for you to enjoy!

Niagara Falls

Although it might still be a tad chilly out for a walk around the falls, there are plenty of indoor sites to check out as well.  Great Wolf Lodge offers a family-friendly getaway featuring a massive indoor water park, with additional free activities for kids to enjoy during your stay. Later in the evening, kids can drop in to their “No-Parents Allowed PJ Party”, while mom and dad head out for a nice evening on the town. Finish off your trip with a Clifton Hill fun pass, and check out all the amusements the strip has to offer!

Ripley’s Aquarium

If you haven’t had a chance to experience this yet, now is your chance! The “Sea the Sky” Combo ticket is a fantastic offer that allows you into Ripley’s Aquarium and the CN Tower for the day. Go from exploring over 20,000 aquatic creatures with interactive displays at Ripley’s, to soaring up 1,136 feet in the air at the LookOut Level in the CN Tower.

The Rec Room

Located at Roundhouse Park, across from the CN Tower, is The Rec Room. With over 40,000 square feet of amusements, entertainment and food, this is definitely a place you don’t want to miss. The best part is the newly renovated virtual reality (VR) space called The VOID. There are VR experiences for everyone in the family from the fun and friendly Ralph Breaks the Internet to the adventure of Star Wars. Be sure to check this out!

Maple Festivals

If you are looking to add a little sweetness to your break, check out some of the local maple festivals going on locally! Richardson’s Farm and Market or White Meadows Farm (just to name a few), feature sugar bush tours where they show the entire process from tapping the trees, all the way to the end product of pure maple syrup. Make sure to try a fresh sample!
