Village of Blacks Harbour

Natural Coastal Beauty

Nestled on the Bay of Fundy, the small fishing village of Blacks Harbour is surrounded by pristine coastline. Home to both traditional weir fishing and aquaculture, Blacks Harbour finds both its history and its future in the bounty of the Bay.

Featuring 100 acres of natural coastline, the Connors Bros. Nature Preserve at Pea Point is a great spot to watch the tides, hike and enjoy a quiet sunrise or sunset. It’s a great place to have your own personal experience with the Bay of Fundy. If you are extremely lucky, you can watch whales right from the shore as mother whales bring their calves into the shelter of Pea Point for some quiet time.

While most of our best experiences are focused on enjoying our natural coastline, we have a few hidden gems not to be missed.

For some traditional fun on Sunday afternoons, join the locals for the “Country Jam”. For $2 you can watch live entertainment, dance to some of your favourite tunes and if you are so inclined bring your instrument and join in, it is a jam after all.

On Labour Day weekend, stop by for the Fog Festival; visit us as part of the International Sculpture Trail or come just to get away from it all.
