Travel In Good Spirits

The M.S Chi-Cheemaun is more than just a ship; it’s a symbol of the region’s hospitality and love for nature. Its gleaming white sides hold much more than passengers and cargo, they carry memories of thousands of amazing voyages across the clear blue waters of Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.

During the 1 hour and 45 minute cross from Tobermory to Manitoulin Island you can enjoy many fantastic onboard experiences. By night join us for one of the scheduled Sunset Dinner Cruises or be entertained by award-winning Canadian musicians at one of our specialty Concert & Dinner Cruises.

Featuring blues, folk, Celtic and even rock and roll, our wide variety of professional bands are bound to enhance your experience. You can also be taken away on a guided tour of the brilliant stars and learn about both the Greek and First Nations Constellation under the darkest skies of Southwestern Ontario. The Chi-Cheemaun’s Stargazers’ Delight Tour is inclusive of ferry fares and is offered daily, excluding Thursdays. A special guest, The Perseid Meteor Shower, will also make an appearance mid-month when the night sky is illuminated with fast moving meteors.

Day cruising is equally as enticing — and not just because of the aweinspiring views of the beautiful vistas. Passengers interested in learning more about the wonderful art in the region can visit our gallery displaying a variety of local artists. Guests can also learn about Manitoulin Island and its rich First Nations culture, heritage and language through storytelling and Workshops with Falcon Migwans. As you sail across one of Canada’s 4 National Marine Conservation Areas, The Fathom Five National Marine Park, Parks Canada interpreters will bring the underwater above through an interactive presentation of the amazing freshwater ecosystem, ancient rock formations and enchanting dive sites on 22 shipwrecks.

We’re lucky enough to operate in one of the most beautiful and biologically diverse environments in Canada. Make Chi-Cheemaun a part of your next vacation and experience it for yourself and ‘Travel In Good Spirits.’
